Heidelberg houses both US and NATO headquarters.

CC-LAND is part of [[military_organisation_posture#military_command_structure|NATO military command structure]]. It is the land component headquarter functioning under the JFC HQ in [[Brunssum]] (Netherlands). It is commanded by a US Army General, and has over 500 military personnel from 13 different nations. 

USAREUR is the command of the US land forces or army in Europe. It contains also the V Corps HQ, a deployable headquarter for operations, which is planned to merge and become part of USAREUR.
