Joint Force Command HQ Brunssum (Netherlands) is part of the [[military_organisation_posture#military_command_structure|NATO military command structure]]. It is one of three operational HQs of NATO. It consists of the Allied Land Component Command, [[Heidelberg]], Germany, the Allied Maritime Component Command, [[Northwood]], UK (AMCCN or CC-Mar Northwood) and Allied Air Component Command, [[Ramstein]] (CC-Air Ramstein), Germany. JFC-B reports to Allied Command Operations based at [[SHAPE]] in Belgium, along with the other NATO European area commands, Joint Force Command [[Naples]] and Joint Command [[Lisbon]]. JFC-B serves as the NATO higher headquarters for the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan. At a regular base it fulfils also the role of [[military_organisation_posture#nato_response_force_nrf|NRF]] (NATO Response force) HQ, which rotates between NATOs three operational HQs ([[Brunssum]], [[Naples]], [[Lisbon]]).
